How it works

A new challenge starts every day at midnight UTC. Everyone gets the same race, world, layout and starting gold.
It is played solo on Normal difficulty for 30 waves, the whole of Act I. Any race can be the day's race, so free players also get to try the Premium races.
Try as often as you like: your best run of the day goes on the day's leaderboard.
Play on as many days in a row as you can to build a streak. Every 7 days played you earn a freeze (up to 2) that covers a missed day for you.

Medals

Bronze: clear all 30 waves.
Silver: clear it losing no more than 25% of your lives (5 of 20).
Gold: clear it without losing a life, in at most 24:00 of play (48 s a wave): send waves early.

The Heroic Daily

The same day's challenge (same race, map and gold) on Hard with only 12 lives, with its own leaderboard and medals. Clearing it can also rescue a streak you broke the day before (within 48 hours).
