- Twelve new bosses: the late waves no longer throw the same four bosses at you over and over. From wave 26, every boss wave can bring a new champion
- From the deep and the frost: the Frost Jarl, the Tide Leviathan and the Pale Shepherd with his soul lantern
- From the fire: the Magma Titan, the Cinder Warlord crowned in living flame, and the Brimstone Behemoth, a volcanic tortoise
- From the skies: the Ash Wyrm, the Cinder Phoenix and the Scorch Manticore
- The colossi: the Bone Colossus, the Runestone Colossus and the Shadow Behemoth
